We’re super excited to announce that we will be collaborating with local creatives from the Halton area to host another Halton MakeFest. This years event is scheduled to take place on 26th March 2022 at Culture HQ in Runcorn Shopping City.

Halton MakeFest 2022 sees the festival enter its 3rd year in Halton. This year, we’re combining all of the best parts from previous years, to make Halton MakeFest 2022 our most fun, most educational and most accessible festival to date. We can’t wait to tell you about our plans and ideas to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever before. We will be releasing more details over the coming weeks over on the official Halton MakeFest website, where you’ll be able to find out more about the makers and how to get involved.

Wondering what a MakeFest is?

A MakeFest is dedicated to all things “makey”. They’re designed to bring together local artists and creative types and give them a platform to show off their work and engage with the community.

There’s no better way to explain what a MakeFest is than by showing you…

There was a massive difference between the delivery of Halton MakeFest 2020 and 2021, with us changing the delivery method from an all-day, in-person event, to a 4 day long, online broadcast (due to the pandemic).

Our first Halton MakeFest in 2020 was a fantastic success as over 4,000 people joined us at Halton Lea Library throughout the day. We had everything, from sculpting with VR, coding Spheros, flying drones AND MORE!

Check out our previous blog post for more details on MakeFests 2020.

Halton MakeFest 2021 was a completely different affair, being entirely online. You can still view all of the live stream videos from 2021 via the on-demand section of the Halton MakeFest website here
