Activity Overview

The Mako Create team are challenging you to create a Pixel Art design that will be showcased alongside hundreds of others in this community art peice to help Celebrate Halton.

This specially designed Pixel Art Wall exhibit is currently being displayed at The Culture HQ in Runcorn Shopping City. We’re really excited to collate and showcase hundreds of Halton’s individual pixel art creations into one giant exhibit to celebrate Halton’s diversity of culture during Halton Borough Of Culture 2021.

 

Using FREE online software the Mako Create team will guide you through the creative process.

Can you create Pixel Art that says something about you? The possibilities are endless. Ideas could include:

  • An avatar of yourself
  • Your initials in your favourite colours
  • Your favourite Book/TV series/Film
  • Your favourite thing to do with friends and family.
  • A landmark from around Halton
  • Your own random design or pattern

Equipment You Will Need

  • A computer (PC or Mac), tablet or phone.
  • Access to the Pixilart.com website

Who Can Take Part?

Anyone can create Pixel Art.

People of all ages are welcome to try it out and get creative.

All you have to do to have your artwork displayed as part of this community artwork is to create and submit your pixel art using the form below.

Artwork Criteria

Your artwork can be about just about anything that means something to you.

  • You can create your artwork using any graphic design software or Pixel Art creator
    (Mako Create recommend using Pixilart.com)
  • Please use a canvas size of either 16×16, 32×32 or 100×100.
  • Please submit a final file that is at least 500px wide.
  • Please submit either .jpg or .png files

If you are not sure about any of the above, please see Mako Create’s “How to create Pixel Art” guide.

 

When you’ve finished your Pixel Art design, you can submit it to us using this online form.
